IT Technician – Onsite – Erie PA
At Community Resources for Independence (CRI), we empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and with dignity. Technology plays a critical role in supporting our staff, programs, and mission across multiple locations.
We are looking for an IT Technician to join our Information Systems team. This is a great fit for someone with a couple of years of hands-on IT support experience under their belt who is ready to take on more responsibility, not an entry-level help desk role, but also not one requiring a seasoned systems engineer. You'll be a key part of keeping our network, servers, and end-user technology running smoothly for the staff who deliver services to our community every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and groups in Active Directory.
- Help maintain our Windows Server environment, including DNS and DHCP.
- Configure and troubleshoot SonicWall firewalls and VPN connections.
- Handle general network troubleshooting, switches, wireless, and connectivity.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot office printers and copiers.
- Support our Microsoft 365 environment: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, and user account management.
- Monitor nightly backups and help resolve any failures.
- Keep servers and workstations current through regular patch management.
- Set up and deploy new computers and laptops for staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of hands-on IT support or administration experience.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with firewalls and VPNs (SonicWall experience a plus).
- Comfort troubleshooting general network and printer issues.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, and related apps).
- A customer-service mindset and clear communication with non-technical staff.
- Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience/certifications (A+, Network+, Security+ a plus).
- A valid driver's license. This role involves occasional travel to CRI locations across Pennsylvania.
What We Offer:
- Health, FSA, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, LTD, and Voluntary Benefits
- 401k
- Paid time off (Vacation, Personal, and Illness)
- Supportive leadership team
- Meaningful mission-driven work
- Opportunities for growth and professional development
If you are a motivated IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and making a positive impact through technology, we would love to hear from you.
